The 3.6 km Seeau trail is accessible on foot from our hotel. The route through the Ganster meadows provides pleasant cross-country skiing.

Cross-country skiing in the Ybbstal Alps

29 km of cross-country ski trails will take you from farm to farm on the Hochreit plateau in Göstling an der Ybbs.

The panoramic views on the Hochreit trails offer a taste of pure paradise. The trails are suitable for leisure hikers and cross-country pros. Choose from six trails and enjoy the beautiful winter landscape, sun and “nature from the farm”. Surrounded by a magnificent mountain landscape, the network of trails in Hochreit is on a charming plateau in Göstling an der Ybbs.

When there is a sufficient amount of snow, there are 29 km of classic trails and 10 km of skating trails. This cross-country area is located 800–900 m above sea level. Located at the start/finish of the routes is the Ablaß farm with its snack stop, which sells cider and hearty bacon snacks, as well as offering ski rental.

The fee for the cross-country ski trail is € 3.00 per person, while floodlit cross country is € 2.00 per person.
